sonicwall app control blocking skype | Are you a Sonicwall firewall admin facing a situation where enabling the APP control feature causing a block to the Skype as well. The skype signatures are already unblocked but some how Skype still get blocked. Wondered how to over ride skype blocking? Here is the simple solution for you problem
FOR NEW INTERFACE
1. Login to you sonicwall management interface with you admin credentials
2. Go to MANAGE section
3. Choose POLICIES tab
4. Select Rules –> App Control
5. Look up for signature id 5 and 7 ( Different from Application id)
6. Edit the settings and Set the BLOCK setting to Disable
7. Press Accept once Done.
FOR OLD INTERFACE
1. Login to you sonicwall management interface with you admin credentials
2. Select Firewall–> App Control
3. Look up for signature id 5 and 7 ( Different from Application id)
4. Edit the settings and Set the BLOCK setting to Disable
5. Press Accept once Done.
